Education
Board-certified periodontist, Dr. Jason T. Primm, graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 2006. He went on to complete a rigorous three-year surgical residency program at the UTHSC, where he earned his master’s of dental science in periodontology from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Primm’s diligence in academia was recognized by being awarded the Thomas N. Weems Scholarship, inclusion into the Dean’s Odontological Society and graduating with honors from dental school.
In addition to the advanced training he received in dental school, Dr. Primm spends countless hours on continuing education focused on dental implants and gum disease treatment each year in order to provide outstanding treatment to his patients.
Lecturer and Trainer
Dr. Primm is the director of The Pinnacle Study Club of Nashville, which provides continuing education for dentists and hygienists in the Nashville area. He also lectures on the topics of implant dentistry, denture solutions, tissue grafting and periodontics.
Advanced Certifications
Dr. Primm is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a rigorous certification requiring demonstration of high standards of knowledge and skill.
He is also licensed to use the PerioLase® dental laser for treating of gum disease. While there are many lasers in the dental community, the PerioLase is the only FDA-approved laser for periodontal treatment and only a select few dentists are licensed to use it.

Award-Winning Dentist
For several years in a row, Dr. Primm has been named one of America’s Top Dentists by the Consumer’s Research Council of America. He was also awarded the distinction of a Top Dentist by Nashville Lifestyles magazine.
Community Work
Outside the Office
When not at the Advanced Institute for Oral Health, Dr. Primm enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children and is an active member of Brentwood United Methodist Church.
