Ridge Augmentation

Ridge augmentation is reconstruction of the bone and soft tissue to allow new teeth to be properly positioned for function and aesthetics.

This patient had been missing teeth for a long time and the ridge had shrank so that his replacement teeth had to have pink acrylic (mimicking gum tissue) added to disguise the defect. The ridge is reconstructed with a combination of bone regeneration and connective tissue grafting to allow fixed replacement teeth to appear more natural.

This patient had hopeless teeth that when removed, left his ridge in a very poor position for replacement teeth. The teeth were removed and the ridge reconstructed in a better position allowing a suitable, functional and cosmetic result.
